Calibration

Why is it important?

Calibration ensures accuracy of measuring and monitoring instruments. Instruments critical to measuring product safety parameters need to be calibrated as per defined frequencies or as per regulatory requirements.

In the absence of an effective calibration program the accuracy of measuring instruments is doubtful and the effectiveness of monitoring critical control points in the food safety management system is questionable.
